Maternal and Infant Health Mapping Tool
Additional Information
Welcome to the Maternal and Infant Health Mapping Tool
This tool is intended to serve as a key resource for exploring data on maternal and infant health in communities. This resource is not intended to be comprehensive; only publicly-available data sources at a county or location-specific level are included. States, localities, and programs may have state-level or more specific data or other sources available to them that are not included here. Users are able to upload their own data sources for their own use. To learn more about this feature, click on the Information Icon for "Add Data".
New Features
- New Data Layers - New data layers have been added to the available data.
- Bivariate Mapping Tool - Use this feature to explore the relationship between two selected data layers
- Single Selection of County Layers with Shading - You may still overlay location/point layers and service/coverage areas, but only one county layer with shading can be selected at a single time.
- Add Data - Add your own county data using the Your Data option.
- Map Export - Export a map with Island Areas included.
Data Note: All Health and Infant Outcomes Indicators included in the Maternal and Infant Health Mapping Tool use spatially smoothed data to enable the presentation of estimates for nearly all counties, many of which would otherwise be unreliable or suppressed to ensure confidentiality. To find out more about an indicator in this mapping tool, including whether it uses smoothed data, click on the metadata icon next to the indicator's name.
